Day 58

Wed. 2/27/2013

Oh Kassie, our criminal mastermind.  I got this little stepstool for my own purposes, but Kassie has claimed it as her own and uses it to do every little thing I've told her not to do.  Yesterday she kept bringing me candy to open.  I was 100% positive that the treat basket was securely in its spot on top of the fridge.  Apparently that spot is no longer safe.  And the most amazing thing?  I have yet to catch the little sneak in the act.  I still have no idea how she could reach the basket and get it down without spilling it or falling off the counter.  Sigh.

Day 57

Tues. 2/26/2013

4 children, 4 different cereals on the counter this morning.

Day 56

Mon. 2/25/2013

I read somewhere yesterday that a 3-year-old should get 12 hours of sleep at night and a 1 hour nap during the day.  This particular 3-year-old gets about 9-10 hours of sleep at night and rarely naps during the day anymore.  I wonder if that is part of the reason she is so..."fun"?  I am certainly grateful for these rare moments of quiet time.

Day 55

Sun. 2/24/2013

I'm not a big fan of the Animated Scripture Stories.  I just don't like people interpreting and dramatizing the scriptures...although I like the official Church ones.  So maybe it's just this company.  Anyway, we only have 1 DVD of animated stories that we got for free in the Orem mall before we had Kimberlee.  It has become required Sunday viewing material by my girls.  Kassie especially gets excited to watch Nephi.  I guess that's not a bad thing.

And yes, Kassie is just hanging out in her tights.  We're picking our battles around here, and that just wasn't one I wanted to fight yesterday.

Day 54

Sat. 2/23/2013

A busy day of good things.  Vs. 27 jumped out at me during my breakfast scripture reading, and it fit the day well.

Day 52

Thurs. 2/21/2013

It was a freezing, gray, miserable day.  Us Arkansans aren't made for this kind of weather.  That's right, you heard me, I said us.  I'm always an Idaho girl at heart, but this is where I currently live.  So slap a Razorback sticker on me... for now I'm home.

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

Day 51

Wed. 2/20/2013

Taco Night = a happy Krista Mae.

Day 50

Tues. 2/19/2013

I don't know where she comes up with these things, but this girl sure cracks me up.

Monday, February 18, 2013

Day 48

Sun. 2/17/2013

We had an amazing combined stake meeting with Elder Bednar for church.  I am truly grateful for prophets and apostles on the earth today.  The meeting left me feeling all loving for my little family - loving enough that I made one of the girls' favorite dinners, potato and ham casserole.

Sunday, February 17, 2013

Day 47

Sat. 2/16/2013

The little girls' favorite part of the on-base library.

Saturday, February 16, 2013

Day 46

Fri. 2/15/2013

There is no rhyme or reason, sometimes she just has to climb the walls.  Or, um, doors.

Thursday, February 14, 2013

Day 45

Thurs. 2/14/2013

Gifts of love.  Happy Valentine's Day.

Day 44

Wed. 2/13/2013

Playgroup Valentine's Tea Party.  Kassie and her bestie, Julia.

Wednesday, February 13, 2013

Day 43

Tues. 2/12/2013

Kassie finally cleaning up all the puzzles she dumped in my bedroom.  This was a 2-day battle, so yes I do believe it was momentous enough to make the "picture-of-the-day."

Tuesday, February 12, 2013

Day 42

Mon. 2/11/2013

Kim's Valentine's box.  I need to cut out the mouth for her, and she wants to add some teeth, but the rest she did herself.  The sad thing is, she isn't entirely sure she needs to make a Valentine's box for school.  But the idea came to her and she made it, whether she needs it or not.

Monday, February 11, 2013

Day 41

Sun. 2/10/2013

This is what happens on our iPod/Netflix-free Sundays.  But it's worth it to hear all 4 girls playing house together.

Sunday, February 10, 2013

Day 40

Sat. 2/9/2013

Making valentines and enjoying a surprise package from Grandma - thank you Grandma!

Saturday, February 9, 2013

Day 39

Fri. 2/8/2013

Someone came home from school and found a different bedroom than when she left in the morning.  New arrangement, new furniture (actually, old furniture put to new use), new bedding.  Once I get a few things up on the walls I'll post before and after pictures.

Friday, February 8, 2013

Day 38

Thurs. 2/7/2013

Yesterday was not the best of days for us.  I certainly didn't earn any points towards Mother of the Year.  But all was made better once the girls went to bed.  And it only took a little quilting, Bones, and chocolate.

Thursday, February 7, 2013

Day 37

Wed. 2/6/2013

Kassie checking out Ed's deployment 'stache during their lunchtime chat.

Wednesday, February 6, 2013

Day 36

Tues. 2/5/2013

Krista got sick again Sunday night and slept most of Monday.  She didn't get to play Skip-Bo with us for Family Night, so while she was still home on Tuesday, but feeling a little better, we played a couple games.

Tuesday, February 5, 2013

Day 35

Mon. 2/4/2013

Mondays around here are laundry day.  I know some people find it overwhelming to do all the laundry in one day, but I find it overwhelming to do laundry every day.  This would be my pink load - understandably it is usually the fullest load of the week.

Monday, February 4, 2013

Day 34

Sun. 2/3/2013

Super Bowl food: strombolli, popcorn chicken, queso, edamame, and energy bites.

Sunday, February 3, 2013

Day 33

Sat. 2/2/2013

A couple of the girls thought that the groundhog predicting an early spring meant they could play outside now.  Lucky for them temperatures were in the 50s - "so warm!" according to Keira.

Saturday, February 2, 2013

Day 32

Fri. 2/1/2013

We survived January.  Does it look like we've gotten anywhere?  (To compare, go to Day 8)

Friday, February 1, 2013

Day 31

Thurs. 1/31/2013

Sometimes I'm awesome.  Most of the time I'm the lamest mom ever, but every once in a while I do something that makes my kids super happy.  Last night it was making them steak.  I've never made steak before, so when they all asked for steak for dinner they knew I wouldn't actually do it.  Well, I showed them.  And it was good.
