My weird girls love the movie Jaws.  Like, beg-for-me-to-get-it-every-time-we-go-to-the-library LOVE it.  Weird.

My aunt and cousins were driving through and asked to stay the night on Wednesday - yay, family time!  Aunt Diane told me they would be leaving early, and I told her I would get up to see them off...but all I heard was someone coming down the stairs and the front door closing.  This is the only sign they were even here.  Somehow she managed to get a hide-a-bed and 1 air mattress put away, 3 kids up and out the door, and all their stuff that was by the door put into the car without making a sound.  I think they are ninjas.

There is a great program called Kids Skate Free that I have been meaning to take advantage of all summer.  Over halfway through and we finally made it happen.  We stopped for Sonic slushes on the way home (during half-price happy hour), so all told I only spent $6.00 for a fun-filled day that would normally have cost $25+.  I love cheap options for summer fun.

Last week Ed took Keira to run some errands and they picked out a big treat for everyone.  Keira was beside herself with excitement to give everyone their treat, but she had to wait several days for movie night.  It just about killed her.

This project has been over 8 years in the making.  We got 2 headboards and 2 footboards for really cheap long ago, but they needed some TLC - 3 moves later Kimberlee and Keira might finally get to have real beds.

Keira and Kimberlee came up with a plan a couple weeks ago to share a room.  Ed and I promised them we would discuss it and see if that was something we wanted to do, but we weren't deciding fast enough for Keira - she made herself a little place in Kimmee's room and slept on her floor for at least 2 weeks.  Why you would give up a perfectly comfortable bed to sleep on the floor is beyond me...but at least now we know they could get along for extended periods of time.

Keira found a list of fun things to do in The Friend magazine, and one of those things was making a soap carving.  She whittled and whittled and whittled...but it just wasn't turning out how she wanted.  I'm sure she's not done with it yet...
