Day 322

Mon. 11/18/2013

We had tornado-producing storms this weekend that brought in warmer weather.  Perfect for putting the final touches on the deck.

Day 321

Sun. 11/17/2013

Ed had a job interview with a reserve unit in Illinois that flies this plane.  Crossing our fingers.

I used to try to have family pictures as the background picture on our computer.  Ed would always replace them with airplanes to tease me.  I haven't messed with the picture in a while, but he still likes to change it up, and I never know what I'm going to see when I turn on the computer.  This is what greeted me this morning.

Day 320

Sat. 11/16/2013

This is what happens on Saturdays when mom has a migraine and dad is out of town.  Messy house (and boring one-a-day pictures).

Day 319

Fri. 11/15/2013

Keira had an optometry appointment Friday morning, and on the way there I got a call from the school nurse saying Krista didn't feel well.  So after the appointment I checked Keira in and checked Krista out.  10 minutes of being at home, and Krista suddenly declared she was fine and wanted to go back to school.  I made her play school at home for the day.

Day 318

Thurs. 11/14/2013

As Ed and I crawled into bed (at 8:30 - not even kidding) I told him I had forgotten to take a picture for the day.  Always so helpful, he grabbed my iPad and took this.  Do we look tired?  Ed had a good excuse - he had gotten up at 3:30 that morning for work.  Me?  I've been tired since about 2002.

Day 317

Wed. 11/13/2013

Cold but happy bonfire girls at Activity Days.

Day 316

Tues. 11/12/2013

Thus far we've gotten away without turning on the heater, but Ed got the system switched over just in time for freezing temperatures on Tuesday night.

Day 315

Mon. 11/11/2013

Happy Veteran's Day to our favorite military man.
(pilot training graduation - July 2003)

Day 314

Sun. 11/10/2013

Kassie was really confused by our Saturday happenings - we picked up the boat, we went to the lake, but we never put the boat in the water or went swimming.  I think she figured if she had been wearing her swimsuit the day would have gone differently.  So all afternoon Sunday she tried to rectify the situation.  Sorry babydoll, boating in November is just not to be.

Day 313

Sat. 11/9/2013

It was past time to winterize the boat.  We finally took it in, and while we were near the lake we decided to stop so Ed could mourn warmer days.  Kassie wanted to go swimming, but the other girls were happy enough to practice skipping rocks.

Day 312

Fri. 11/8/2013

Family movie night!

Friday, November 8, 2013

Day 311

Thurs. 11/7/2013

My craft from our RS Visiting Teaching conference.  It needs a second coat and I need to connect the Y (oops), but it exemplifies the whole evening.  So grateful for a sisterhood wherever we go in the world.

Day 310

Wed. 11/6/2013

Grocery shopping is exhausting.  For 3-year-olds and their mothers alike.

Day 309

Tues. 11/5/2013

Keira's turn to ring the bell at gymnastics.  She got her back hip circle down.

Day 308

Mon. 11/4/2013

Whatever will we do when it gets too cold to be outside???  I'm grateful that for now we live in a place where it takes a little longer to get there.

Day 307

Sun. 11/3/2013

Our little Japanese baby gobbling up her gyoza and edamame.

Saturday, November 2, 2013

Day 306

Sat. 11/2/2013

I love our back yard.  I love Fall.  Now if only we could pick up our little piece of land and plop it down next to some family in the West, things would be pretty much perfect.

Day 305

Fri. 11/1/2013

Kimberlee hasn't been a big reader since about 1st grade.  She likes books, but mostly for information and facts, not stories.  Not even Harry Potter piqued her interest (I know, blasphemy).  I finally let her start The Hunger Games, expecting it to go just like every other book she's started...but she was hooked and finished it late last night.  Thank you Suzanne Collins for making my daughter excited to read again.  She has started the second book...now to find something for after she finishes this series.

Day 304

Thurs. 10/31/2013

Our zombie bride, ladybug, cat, and Deb want to wish you a Happy Halloween!

Day 303

Wed. 10/30/2013

Kassie's preschool class picked out pumpkins on Tuesday.  Unfortunately, Kassie was sick, so her friend picked one out for her.  Anything from Julia is unconditionally adored by Kassie and she took to carrying the pumpkin around and having it sit next to her for her various activities throughout the day.

Day 302

Tues. 10/29/2013

Krista got to ring the bell at gymnastics for learning a new skill - her pullover.

Day 301

Mon. 10/28/2013

Carving pumpkins to scary music morphed into a dance party for these two.
