Day 115

Thurs. 4/25/2013

Good morning Kassie.  I see you've started the day as normal, climbing somewhere to make a mess.  And what a beautiful song you're singing/yelling.  Let me get this straight...we're never, ever, EVER getting back together?  ;)

Day 114

Wed. 4/24/2013

Yesterday's nemesis - it was huge.  But it was no match for my trusty spray.  That spray and I are developing quite the relationship lately.

Day 113

Tues. 4/23/2013

Someone loves her new shoes.  Random fact about Kimberlee: she just graduated to a size 1 shoe.  As in, the same size as several 6-year-olds I know.

Day 112

Trying...trying...trying...
Success!
Mon. 4/22/2013

Bubbles in the sun.

Day 111

Sun. 4/21/2013

This one earned the "Most Well-Behaved Child of the Day" award.  No tantrums, no whining, she took the saying on her shirt to heart.  Love that sweet, happy face.

Day 110

Sat. 4/20/2013

This little "Shocker" scored 2 goals in her game on Saturday.

Day 109

My sanity.  He needs to come home.

Friday, April 19, 2013

Day 108

Thurs. 4/18/2013

We were under tornado warnings for a good chunk of the day yesterday.  I tried to "get my craft on," but Kassie wasn't having it.  If I ever finish this I'll post what it becomes.

Day 107

Wed. 4/17/2013

Kassie bumped her head on Keira's chin, and immediately, amidst her tears and cries, went running frantically to the bathroom to find a mirror.  We've warned her that if she keeps up her crazy antics she'll wreck her pretty face - maybe it's finally sinking in.

Day 106

Tues. 4/16/2013

My lunch - avocado and feta cheese on whole wheat toast with cucumbers and tomatoes.  I had to document that I ate something healthy.  And that pinterest finally didn't let me down on a recipe.

Day 105

Mon. 4/15/2013

You can hope that not every picture from now until June has to do with soccer, but I make no guarantees.  It really does take over our lives.  Kimmee and the Neon Ninjas had their first game on Monday, which they pretty blatantly won.  She's a good little defender, and had one shot at a goal.

Day 104

Sun. 4/14/2013

I spent a little time with this big book today - it's Ed's Book of Remembrance.  My kids have some amazing ancestors!  When I was at BYU in 1999, President Hinckley came and spoke in a devotional.  I'll never forget him telling us to not become the "weak link" in the chain of our generations, to stay true to the faith for the rest of our lives, as our ancestors did before us.  I felt the power of those words then, when I was the last link of my family chain, but reading the talk again today I felt the responsibility even more.  I've got links after me now.  They need to know what has come before them, and I need to teach them all I know so they will also not become the weak link.  If you'd like to understand what I'm going on and on about, the talk I'm referring to is here.

Day 103

Sat. 4/13/2013

First soccer games.  Keira was waiting during Krista's game and got asked to be a fill-in "timekeeper" for a U-5 game - whistle, stopwatch and all.  Once she got the hang of it she loved it!  I think it was the power of that whistle.  (She is the one in yellow on the right)

Day 102

Fri. 4/12/2013

Does putting this on my baby (11-year-old) girl's wall make me a bad mother?

Friday, April 12, 2013

Day 101

Thurs. 4/11/2013

Learning to crochet at our Relief Society activity.

Day 100

Wed. 4/10/2013

It makes my heart happy to see these two friends together.  Kassie loves her Julia.

Wednesday, April 10, 2013

Day 99

Tues. 4/9/2013

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Grandma Anderson's green package that she sent the beginning of March finally arrived (thank you U.S. Postal Service), so we got to celebrate twice.  And yes, the girls ate those cookies and said they were delicious.

Taking notes during General Conference

Saturday, April 6, 2013

Day 95

Fri. 4/5/2013

"Oh, there's sunshine, blessed sunshine!"  My monkeys were so happy to have a day without rain.

Friday, April 5, 2013

Day 94

Thurs. 4/4/2013

I spent the day scanning old pictures and organizing the pictures on our computer.  While doing that I found a bunch of journal entries of Krista's that I had scanned back in January.  This particular one is from the Monday after Ed left.  I'm not sure what the picture is (except Ed in his desert flight suit), but it says "My Dad left my house.  He is dployed.  I am sad.  But wen he comes back were going on the Booooat!  I relly like the boat!"

Thursday, April 4, 2013

Day 93

Wed. 4/3/2013

Someone learned the Macarena at school and felt the need to teach it to her sisters.  I have a feeling that "classic" will never die.

Wednesday, April 3, 2013

Tuesday, April 2, 2013

Day 91

Mon. 4/1/2013

Get through March...check.  Bring on April.  I feel like we're finally getting somewhere with this chain.

Monday, April 1, 2013

Day 90

Sun. 3/31/2013

Happy Easter!  This picture cracks me up.  Getting smiles out of the girls was impossible!  What do you think, do they look a little forced?

Day 89

Sat. 3/30/2013

Among other things on Saturday, we had a pool birthday party to attend.  My girlies sure love the water.
